The deal.
Ochii is a food diary you can publish. These are the rules for using it, kept short enough to read.
Last updated 29 September 2026
Using Ochii
You need to be 18 or older and to sign in with a Google account that is yours. One account per person. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Ochii is free, offered as it is, and still being built. Features change and screens move.
What you post
Your ratings, notes and lists stay yours. By setting a list to public or keeping your profile public, you give Ochii permission to display them on the public site, in share cards, and in the previews that appear when a link is pasted into a chat. That permission ends for new displays when you make the content private or delete it, subject to caches and archives outside Ochii’s control.
Do not post:
- Ratings you did not form yourself, or reviews traded for payment without saying so. A rating should reflect what you thought.
- Someone else’s private information, impersonation of a real person or restaurant, or content that is unlawful, hateful, or harassing.
- Content that is not yours to publish, including photographs and copy lifted from elsewhere.
- Bulk or automated submissions, or anything that scrapes or degrades the service.
The catalogue
Places are shared, not owned. A place you add is reviewed before it joins the public catalogue, and a moderator may rename, re-file, merge, group or hide it. Restaurant facts such as a name, neighbourhood, or address belong to nobody and stay in the catalogue even if you delete your account.
Addresses and coordinates come from OpenStreetMap under the Open Database Licence. © OpenStreetMap contributors.
Reporting, blocking and moderation
Every rating, place, list and profile carries a report control, and any account can be blocked from your own view. Reports are read by a moderator, who may remove content, hide a place, or suspend an account.
If something you posted is removed and you think that was wrong, the contact below is how to say so, and you will get a reply. Blocking is one-directional and takes effect for you: the person is not told, and public pages they can still see are cached copies rather than a failure of the block.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time in Settings, and it is immediate and permanent. See the privacy policy for exactly what goes and what stays. Ochii may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and will say why.
What Ochii does not promise
Ratings here are opinions of the people who wrote them, not statements of fact about a restaurant, and Ochii does not verify them. Catalogue details can be wrong or out of date. A place may have moved, changed hands, or closed. Check anything that matters before you rely on it, particularly allergen and dietary information.
The service is provided without warranties, and Ochii is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using it, to the extent the law allows.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction.
Changes
If these terms change in substance, the date at the top changes with them and the new version is published here before it takes effect.
Getting in touch
A published contact address for privacy questions and complaints is being finalised and will appear here before Ochii opens to the public. Until then, account deletion in Settings removes everything immediately and needs nobody’s help.
